Chris is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he recieved a bachelors degree in Architecture in 2006. He currently works as a Senior Architect for MurphyJahn in downtown Chicago and pursuing his architecture license.

About the Bride...
Lara Wierzbicki
Lara is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where she receieved a bachelors degree in International Marketing in 2006. She is an alumni sister of UIC's Phi Sigma Sigma Theta Delta chapter. She currently works as an eCommerce Promotions Manager for ULTA Beauty in Bolingbrook.

How we met...
Although Chris and Lara went to high school together and graduated the same year, they didn't know each other except through a few mutual friends. In college, Lara was dating a childhood friend of Chris' and Chris was dating a classmate from IIT so, they had met only a few times in passing.
When they were on the eve of their 4th year in college, they met at a local bar in Lockport through a friend. Realizing they both went to school in the city and didnt know many Lincoln-Way alumni downtown, they agreed to get together for lunch. Lara gave Chris her number assuming he probably wouldn't call but she knew she liked him and even told her best friend that she could see herself marrying him. But, her assumption was wrong! The next night she had a missed call from an unknown number while she was working a typical Friday night as a manager at Marcus Theaters. The voice message told her it was Chris!
The next week, they went to lunch at a gyros place in Greektown near Lara's school. After a month of eating out and being with each other, they knew they liked each other but didn't know if they should date. Lara wouldn't let that happen so she told his good friend Brent that she really liked him. Luckily, Brent was helpful and told Chris how she felt. Chris felt the same way and they both knew it was meant to be. They officially were a couple on Sweetest Day of 2004.
So, after 4 years of dating that included Chris' 4 month study in Paris, two college graduations, changes of jobs and 3 years living together in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago, Chris and Lara and now back in Frankfort, their hometown, looking for a house to start their lives in! And of course, planning their wedding for next fall.
